Hello, After read alot for months, I decided to overclock my PC at my first time. So i tested the maximum efficiency of my original intel 3770K air cooler while the temperature difference with my open and shut case lids. For this I used 3 monitoring programs: HW Monitor, AIDA64 and Real Temp. I ran Aida64 Stability Test, the first test with the case without the side lids for 10 minutes, then took a print screen. Then I repeated the same test with the lids closed (just 5 min at this time, couse temps come up to 100ºC). To my surprise and disappointment, besides the result was irrelevant between open and closed lids, noticed the discrepancy in results between programs. Mainly of Real Temp which showed differences of 17 º C lower than the HW Monitor at max temp. Then comes the classic question, on what to trust? I would venture the answer: always rely on what the present temperature LARGER. What would be the most efficient way to measure? Venture back a response saying that using a Digital Infrared Thermometer Laser Gun Point, correct? Feel free to comment my test and results, i wanna learn. Thanks!
