hybrid hard drive vs ssd for gaming

Hello

I want to pick the proper hard drive for gaming , will a SSD improve gaming , I am not to concerned with loading times for the os or apps or even game load times . I just want a safe reliable storage device that will perform well. It seems a SSD will not offer much of a benefit in regards to overall game improvement. Am I correct to assumes this ?
Also could you provide the best hybrid hdd with the largest cache size ? looking for a 1 tb , 8 gigs cache or larger cache if possible , $100 - 160 price range

If you do not care about loading times a normal HDD will be your best choice. Hybrid drives do not have as much R&D and can be somewhat unreliable.

Most PC cases have room for multiple drives, so there isn't such a demand for SSHDs. Many new PCs come with both an SSD and a hard drive. Windows tends to be installed on a relatively small capacity SSD, say 120GB, along with a few programs, and the HDD provides lots of space for storing your music and photo collection which don't demand fast storage.

The benefit of an SSHD, whether in a PC or laptop, is the fact you don't need any special software or configuration. It works without you having to decide where to store files and programs. If you don't configure Windows to store your documents on the hard drive

so , that didn't really answer my question lol I don't really want two storage drives or the hassle of picking and choosing where to put stuff or the process of cleaning up a SSD . and as far as reliability why would the hybrid be less reliable ? so I am guessing a hybrid is better still . any model types that are the leading choice , I am guessing Seagate . Looking for largest cache size possible 8gigs + along with no less then 200mbs read write.

Set up correctly, and those are non-issues.

Steam, you can designate whatever drive you want. With one folder, Steam installs to that automatically. Origin does the same.

Personally, I'm ot a fan of SSHD, but any of them with the specs you want will probably work.
Just not as fast as a SSD + HDD.

1. Yes, that is why you pair an SSD with a large HDD.

2. What do you mean 'the need to use a software to set up' ? An SSD is no different than a HDD, except for size and speed.

Hybrid drives are not a viable technology yet. Just get an HDD since you are not concerned with load times.

ssd is essential when you do 3D rendering and cfd softwares
ssd is good if you are forbidding about booting time

No, an SSHD is no more reliable than an SSD. It is a regular HDD, with a smallish (8GB?) SSD portion.
All it does is learn which files are used the most, and those end up on the SSD portion. It speeds things up a bit.

Speedwise, they are inbetween an SD and an HDD.
