i know it is a watercooler but can i just install it without water or anything and it just work like a good aircooler?

Its a closed loop, there is already liquid in it and you cant add or remove it.
You mount the waterblock to the motherboard, and the radiator to a compatible place on the case.

I personally dont recommend it, its too expensive for its performance.

To cool your CPU, nothing. Just ensure your case has sufficient clearance for the radiator / fan(s).

Which CPU are you trying to cool, and do you plan to overclock?

If your case has sufficient room, anything from this list should be more than "good enough":

Recently, I also got a pretty smokin' clearance deal on a Corsair H110i GTX. Pretty much the same as the H100 but with 140mm fans and an excellent cooler if you can get it for a good price. I'm using it on an overclocked i7-5820k and the temp under 100% load barely cracks 60 degrees.
