Hey Mike2012 here. A couple months ago I got a Hyper 212 EVO Aftermarket Cooler. I installed the heatsink and everything correctly. It was working well until recently. Now, I've noticed this annoying problem.

The CPU Fan will just stop spinning. If I open up the case I can fix it, but then it just stops spinning again the next day. Rinse and repeat everyday.

Is it time to just get rid of that fan and get a new one?

Well, what seems to be happening is that it will run, the computer will go to sleep mode and it won't turn back on. The only way I can make it work again is to open up the case.

Rinse and repeat.

Mobo? I don't think so. All other components work fine. The CPU fan just stops working. The computer continues to work the CPU fan just stops spinning.

Well obviously the fans faulty. Just stops spinning.

But I have another unused fan in the back of the case.

I have an HAF 912 case.

Is it possible for me to remove the front of the case to remove the back fan?

Well, I know for the fact it's the fan. I've tried the fan in two PC's, nothing.

In the end, I just replaced the fan with an unused fan in the back of the case; so everything good's now.
