Hyper 212 evo backplate won't fit

Hello everyone. I am currently trying to install my new cooler master hyper 212 evo fan. I am installing with my mobo mounted in the case because I have access to the back of the mobo in my case. I am trying to mount my backplate right now onto the standoffs but the screws don't seem to be fitting into the backplate. The standoffs just keep getting pushed out. Even if I apply pressure to the standoff they still don't go into the backplate. I don't know what to do please help. I have an lga 1150 motherboard.

It's funny that you mention that because I had a similar problem when I installed it. Thanks to the power of youtube all my problems were solved lol.
