[SOLVED] Hyper 212 Evo - Fluctuating Temps

Hi. I installed an aftermarket cooler today - Hyper 212 Evo - and noticed a significant drop in idle temps. This was good, but I noticed my temperatures fluctuating pretty heavily.

Opening Steam for example sent it from 28 to 33 degrees immediately.

Running Passmark CPU tests had it go something like

29 > 38 > 31 > 44 > 39 > 31 > 44 > 51 > 54 > 40 > 35 > 39

Is this normal?

yes CPU temps will fluctuate a lot, your temps are all low so you have nothing to worry about.

Also keep in mind depending on the thermal paste used it may not have cured yet which could also explain your varying temps. As an example Arctic Silver 5 takes 200 hours to cure.

what are the temp if you use it at idle then do some gaming on it use this on sensor page it will tell cpu fan speed and temp http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php also if you need to repaste use mx2 or mx2 from arctic cooling they do not need cure time .
