I just got a Hyper 212 Evo and I tried attatching it to my Asus B75M-A motherboard but the metal bracket they give you to line up over the screw holes doesn't align, and this is very frustrating as I have an lga 1155 socket type which is compatible with it. Is there anything I can do to fix this? The manual isn't very detailed making the installation even harder.

Solution
The directions that come with it are useless lol, but there are a lot of really good video tutorials on youtube. Watch a few of them for a visual depiction of what to do, that is how I figured it out. Once you see how to do it correctly, you should have no problems installing it on a 1155 mobo.
the screws on the x shaped bracket should move out. you have to push down on the screw head (or up, try one and if it doesnt budge, go the other way) and that allows the screw to move laterally. i did this on an 1150 (same mounting size) motherboard a few weeks ago and ran into the same issue, but moving those screws to the outer holes did the trick

I'll try that out, thank you, if it works I'll pick you as the best answer, and thanks again.

I realized there is actually three slots to move the screws so this shoudl work now, thanks for the quick replies.

You want everything screwed in completely, it needs have that pressure to make adequate contact with your CPU. Leaving something unscrewed is not recommended.

Theres a better way to fix it if u untighten the nut holding the bracket on the bottom of the motherboard it should give you more space to apply the screws on but will still take a very small amount of force
