Hello guys.

I am in the process of building my PC. Installed the CPU, installed the RAM. Was just about to put the thermal paste on my cpu and install the CPU cooler, but thought it best that I check the bracket and make sure it reaches the stand offs (thank God). I did so an they line up fine and fit well. But when I go ahead and put it through the cooler itself and try to install, the screws won't reach the stand offs. I mean a solid 10mm of clearance between the two. It feels like i'd have to put in allot force (enough to split the atom) in order to get it down and screwed in. Which I'm reluctant to do as all this force is being placed on the CPU itself. I know their are a fair few posts on this, I have installed the back bracket correctly for my i5 8600k coffee lake 1151 socket. And moved the screws to the middle whole, but the problem still continues. I don't know if I need a taller stand off or what. Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards Stuart.

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of
compatibility, the H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted
heatpipe layout to move the heatsink away from the
RAM zone, Offering optimal compatibility for RAM
with tall heat spreaders on both Intel 115X and
AMD platforms.
