Hyper 212 EVO problem: the retention plate fell apart, how to put together again? please help!

Hi,

I am trying to install the Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler onto my motherboard.

Unfortunately, when I went to install the heatsink, the retention plate fell apart!

The pieces all fell into my case and I don't know how to put it back together again.

Furthermore, I don't know if I have all the pieces to put it back together!! Could anyone that has a Hyper 212 EVO look at the retention plate and tell me all the parts it has?

I have the two main pieces that go into the four holes on the backplate, I have a spring, and I have some bolt.

If you look at this picture here:

if you look at the red circled area, that is the spring. The part on the bottom (below the red circle) with the rough edges is the bolt that I have. I don't know what the green circle points to.

I really want to put this together! Any help would be appreciated!!

Before I do that, I think I have all the pieces necessary to put them back together.

However, I don't think it's *broken* (sorry fixed title to better reflect that), I think it got too loose and the part came apart.

What do I do to put the spring back on?

EDIT: Shook my case several times and then I found the third part! Will try putting back together again. I have: the two main parts of the retention plate, the spring, the bolt, and the thin but tall screw where the spring should go.

The pin simply goes thru the center of the scissors and the nut threads back on.
The pin is only threaded on one end to accept the nut.
Same thing happened to me installing one last weekend.
Once you have it back in position and have screwed the four spring loaded pins in.
The textured nut should be hand tightened.

Can you explain this? I get the pin goes through the center but where does the spring and the nut go?

I am so sorry! It appears that the original picture that I had up in the OP has disappeared.

When this happened to me, I was so confused with how to put back together the retention plate. I actually was able to fix it without buying new parts, but tragically I could not remember how to explain it for the life of me. But, the picture helped.

Let me know if you still can't figure it out, and I will do my best to help!
