I'm thinking on getting the Hyper 212 EVO or should I get a liquid cooling system? My case has 6 fans.

Im getting i7 3820 Sandy Bridge-E, ASUS Rampage IV, EVGA Superclocked w/ACX cooling Geforce GTX 770 2GB, 16GB DDR3 1600 (4x 4GB)

The Hyper 212 EVO is a very good cooler BUT... for the i7 system i would recommend going with a closed loop liquid cooler (e.g. H100i, Water 2.0...) if your case case hold a 240mm radiator. Remember to optimize air flow dynamic so it would introduce more heat to the GPU.

So your answer would be: liquid cooling.

Then you basically answer yourself there matey! Liquid cooling all the way! Although the Noctua DH-14 which has the capability to outrun almost all closed loop cooler without sacrificing hassle of installing radiators. Only thing going against the DH-14 is its RAM clearance.

you really do want to invest a lot in cooling as it is a long-term investment and even though liquid cooling has its perks, Air Cooling provide the best ruggedness.

Here is my RAM so I don't think clearance would be an issue.

I want to get the most for my money and looking to spend around $100.
Here is what I'm currently looking at due to another persons input.
NZXT Kraken X60
I just liked the Hyper 212 EVO because its about $35 and I had heard its really good for it being cheap and air instead of liquid. The reason I left this topic vague was to get input on both air and liquid because ik some air out perform some liquid.

Here is what I have been told so far lol

H100i
Noctua DH-14
NZXT Kraken X60
PHANTEKS PH-TC14PE
Hyper 212 EVO

So which is the best bang for my buck? I'm getting a i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E.

Of those coolers, really any of them would be fine. I would avoid the 212 EVO in this case though, its a good heatsink when your dealing with mainstream chips with typically a ~75W TDP, yours has a 130W TDP.
Go for either the Phanteks or Noctua if you want to stick with air, The H100i if you want liquid. Performance wise you wont really notice much of a difference between them.

Have a look at the Swiftech H220 as well, easily the best CLC on the market right now.
