Hyper 212 fans

Hey guys,

so i'm getting my hyper 212 this week and i'm curious about the fan(s).
To go with my theme i'd like a green LED fan on the heatsink. Would this one be fine?

I heard the stock fan on the 212 is really good so i don't want to replace it with a downgrade?
Any opinions or advice much appreciated.

That fan would in fact be a downgrade. Cougar has a great performing green led fan that would work for you however.
Corsair also has good led fans that would be good replacements

Changing the stock fan will offer no boost in performance.

The stock fan works real well.

As I've heard, the stock fan is great, I just want a green LED fan that isn't a downgrade in performance. That cougar looks real nice.

The cougars are about the best LED fans out there in my opinion (and are just great fans in general)

I'd love that, except I don't have room for a 200mm
I was gonna put 2 140mm exhaust fans on roof of my case above the 212 and replace my stock exhaust 120mm. Also getting 2 new 120mm intake fans

Awesome. Been with a laptop for way too long so getting back in touch with the desktops! Hopefully that cooling plan will be adequate for when i get my windforce 770 oc edition. Just wish my case had the option for a side fan to blow directly onto the gfx card.

The Cooler Master comes with an 82.9cfm 120mm cooling fan, the Cougar is a 64.3cfm fan, I strongly suggest not doing that change as it will effect you cooling performance of the heat sinks cooling to the negative side.

This Aerocool Shark 120mm Green LED outputs 82.6cfm almost the exact cfm rating.

This Yate Loon 120mm Green Led outputs 88cfm and would be a good replacement as well.

You need to replace the Cooler Master fan with as close to the actual fan cfm rating as possible so you don't have a cooling performance drop off.

You need to pay close attention to the cfm rating as Led fans are all about pretty, not power, there's only a few companies out there beginning to deliver some descent cfm producing Led fans.
