I'm trying to install the Hyper 212+ with my new build. I'm following the guide here http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/air-cooling/21525-coolermaster-hyper-212-plus-amd-installation-clearance.html.

I just cannot get the thing to work. I double checked everything and my setup is exactly the same as in the pictures in the guide.

When the final step comes and I have to screw in the four final screw it just doesn't work at all. The four screw sits a couple of mm above where the thread is. I can't screw them in and I don't want to apply a lot of force to force them to stay down. Help please.

It is hard to know what exactly the problem is since we are not there to see first hand what you setup looks like. I know if I was right there with you I would see what the problem is and fix it.
Like in the pictures in that link does the back plate screw holes protrude through the motherboard the same distance as in the picture?
Do you have the springs on the right side just like the picture ? Do you have the right parts for the cpu that you have? The heatsink comes with retention brackets for several style cpus and you want to make sure that you didn't mix the parts.
What is your motherboard and cpu?

My motherboard is a Biostar TA970XE and CPU is a Phenom II X4 965. I think I might have figured it out. The protruding screws in this picture http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/imagehosting/334a77e052a4be5.jpg are not tightened down all the way so they can move up a little to touch the final 4 screws.

That's all I have for now. I'll have to try that later on and if it doesn't work I'll try taking a picture and posting it here.
