I was looking at some pictures of the MSI 970A-G46 and the DIMMS look really close to the socket. There is also a heat sink next to the socket. Do you think the hyper 212 plus will fit in there with a push config with a Wintec One 8GB 1600 kit?
Hi, have you already bought the motherboard? If not, i would not recommend it for overclocking, assuming you are gonna do some OC'ing. These boards are known to have issues with AMD's FX series CPU's rated at 125w TDP even at stock settings. As for the cooler you need to have a look at the dimensions and if it does not fit, you can always just replace it with one that does, but i think it should be okay.
No, I haven't bought it yet. I think instead I will go for the Asus M5A97 R2.0. I still dont know if it will fit in that board, either.
