Hyper 212X, how to install horizontally?

Hi guys, I have an FM2 board. It seems impossible to install the cooler horizontally....... Did any of you AMD users achieve this? And how..?

The mounting of AMD's backplate is not like the Intel's. AMD's mounting is rectangular and on the other hand, the Intel has the square setup. If I install the cooler horizontally, I can't screw down the cooler because the screws would be under the fins. But if I install it vertically, the screws would be cleared of the fins but the fan should be taken out too. I want to install this beast horizontally because I have a rear exhaust fan, and no roof exhaust fan (only a roof with holes).

well, first remove your motherboards stock back plate if you have not already. Install your stand offs as well if you have not already. Take your adjustable bracket find the position it fits in. Now remove the fan from your heat sync, After you have completed this simply place your heat sync on your board the way you want it, put the bracket though and tighten it down. Put the fan back on and you should be done.

I have already installed my 212 on my rig sir. The problem is, the heatsink won't clear for the screws.. I don't think you get what I mean. :) There is no way I could screw it down if the heatsink is directly on top of the screws. And in the video you posted, it's a different 212, mine is the newest one, the 212X. The heatsink doesn't have those groves which would clear the screws. Maybe that's what I need to install them horizontally. Damn it coolermaster!

we have same problem. i have cm hyper 212x and i can only install it with fan blowing down, not sideways. have you found any solurtion to this?
