Hyper Threading under Windows 2000

I heard that Hyper Threading Support isn't going to be supported under Windows 2000. Is this 100% true, and not going to change?

Now, I believe that Microsoft can't just stop supporting
an operating system that's just 3 years old. Third party
companies too, keep writing drivers for OSes that are
outdated as Win98, so how is it possible that HT processors
are going to be left unsupported under Windows 2k?
