I passed through my raid and 3 addition external drive to my VM. What I'm running into is that while in the VM if I try and move files from one drive another I get very slow speeds 30-35mb/sec. But if i moves files around at the host level I get 250-300mbs/sec. What is causing this bottle neck in Hyper V?

The VM may only be configured to emulate USB 2.0 ports. Look into seeing if your virtual machine supports USB 3.0.

As an example, VirtualBox out of the box doesn't support USB 3.0 in guest machines, you have to get an extra plugin to enable it.
Under what menu would i look to find this setting. That was the first thing I thought of too. but could not find it.
