I was comparing HT3 speeds between AMD 880G and AMD 970(or even 990X/FX) chipsets and it seems that the former supports up tp 5200 MT/s as compared to 4800 MT/s of the latter.
My question is: isn't the latter a step backwards? I mean, 880G connects to SB850 at a greater speed and hence should be able to deliver more communication bandwidth - versus a 970/990 connecting to its SB950?
Am i missing something here?
