I've been researching all pover the internet for answers to my problem ive been havong. I decided to upgrade my RAM on my Gigabyte P55a UD3 MB ( oldish ) where it has duel channel slots where for the pas 5 years it was running my 2x2gb Kingston Ram.

I bought and swapped them out for some well needed upgrades and decided to pick up the Kingston HyperX FURY Blue HX316C10FK2/16 16G Kit (8Gx2) DDR3 1600MHz Desktop Ram, knowing my MB supports max 16gb.

To my surprise when I went to boot, my computer when showing the windows 10 logo, the spinning wheel freezes a few seconds in then displays various blue screens, each different from the last.

Then I put back in my old ram and it works fine..

Is there a way to fix this or will i have to upgrade my MB for the ram to work ? Or maybve my new sticks are malfunctioninig ?

Sorry the hardware is a bit outdated now but RAm compatability i guess is still current.

Solution
The Fury are made with high density memory ICs and operate off PnP, the mobo (older P55 chipset doesn't support PnP and very few P55 mobos will accept the newer DDR3 (post 2010) DDR3 which is made with high density memory ICs, the early DDR3 (pre-2011) was made with low density ICs. I'd look for the GSkill NT series of Value DRAM, still available (check NewEgg) which were made with the low density ICs
