Is the hyperx fury 8gb 1866 ram good and is it good for gaming and is it realiable and what ram would you get from any brand

Don't buy it , there has been quite a few issues in the forum with those modules.

Kingston make good ram. So do Corsair (expensive) and GSkill. I got GSkill because the price was right. 16gb 2133. No problems at all with it.

I think all ram has a lifetime guarantee. Any GSkill or Corsair should be OK. I Googled but couldn't find 'problems with hyper x fury'.

Mobo Asus max vii hero and CPU intel 17 4770k or 4790k depending on the reviews for the 4790k since it just came out gpu 780ti CPU cooler corsair 100i

Sweet rig, love it, I've got the Z87 and the Z97 Heros with a 4770K in each, the Z79 Hero handles DRAM better and OCs better (and with the 4770K or 4790K the skies the limit) think i'd look at 2133 anyway and if in the budget might even look at 2x8GB so you don't need to upgrade a year or so from now, DDR3 prices are continuing to rise
