HyperX Predator PCIe SSD M.2 240gb for Asus Z270E

HyperX Predator PCIe SSD M.2 240gb goes at top or bottom M.2 Slot in Asus Z270E Motherboard?

Only HyperX predator and Samsung 960 EVO, 960 PRO NVMe is available in my city as M.2 type SSD and that Samsung NVMe is too costly so i planned to buy HyperX predator 240gb.. And I am gonna buy without PCIe adapter model... But it says Its interface is PCIe Gen 2.0 not Gen 3.0 so is it still faster than normal Sata SSD's like Samsung 850 Evo 250gb Sata, HyperX Savage 240gb when putting in M.2 Slot?

Install is just Under the CPU socket and right above the first PCIE X16 slot and yes they are faster.
