Review Hyte Y70 Touch Review: World’s First ‘4K’ PC Case?

I'm hoping since "Touch" is part of the name that means they'll release one without the screen. It seems like they resolved the issues with the Y60 while improving cooling capability since the side/bottom was 2x 120/140mm. I'm still not totally sure I'd get one, but if they did release one without the screen it'd be towards the top of my options.

I always felt cases were supposed to be kept on the ground next to the desk. That way you hear the least fan noise. Never thought the case itself would take up half the desk space.

Mid 70s on the CPU isn't that impressive. My 13700K overclocked has never hit above 73.

I hope those numbers are because the case doesn't have any fans as per your install in the article. Seems like the stock layout is just a sauna.

Its rather pricey

future telling: Whats next, an entire side panel as a touch screen? and on the front? Why not turn PC case into your monitor, as if there are so many screens on it, you won't want a display as well.

If we really lucky it will make RGB redundant as you can't see inside the case again.

This case has taken RGB, made it more stupid and a screen.
Adding cost, complexity and energy consumption to a case for minimal useful functionality is just stupid. On top of that for it to make even some sense, the case needs to be displayed which means putting it where it takes up desk space and its fans are going to be heard more.

Better yet, have the entire side panel of the case be a 240hz 1440p (or 4k) OLED screen with all the burn-in prevention of a normal OLED monitor.

I don't really watch TV programs anymore, so lets bring TV to my PC case for no real reason, and on a screen so small, a group of folks probably couldn't watch it...
WTFudge with that price tag... let me get a Silverstone Alta instead.

Silverstone had 2 case families that used same interior design.
Fortress was the premium case, steel construction
Raven was the gaming case, more plastic.

If they made a Raven version of this case I would be really tempted.

And before you know it, some poor soul will posting questions here about how their "beautiful case screen" is acting up and how to fix it.

Curious how good case is without the screen. I want to see tests. Really easy to wow people with a screen.

the software to power screen is still being finalised.

Apart from screen, there doesn't seem to be much change from the Y60
which is made for water cooled GPU as its not as efficient with air. It scores at the low end of both CPU & GPU cooling. It looks good but the design impedes air flow.

Not even a good fish tank, too many holes :)
