I own a 2009 Hyundai i20 magna model.. petrol
9400 km ..Its less as i take the car out only on weekends.

This strange issue has cropped up over the past couple of years and it has been more prominent now.
The car if in the instance of heavy traffic where usually one uses 1st or 2nd gear to cruise little by little, the bonnet, engine get incredibly hot and as it gets hot the clutch cannot catch any gears. means the clutch when pressed and the gears applied . it won't read any gears and treat every applied gear as neutral.. the i have to push the car to the side of the road and wait for it to cool down; once it cools, car seems fine and i can drive it . y does this happen??

the radiator issue? Does the car have an auto cut-off spin for the radiator? It spins when car is started but shuts off after some time.. it should b running while the bonnet is hot right?

Also checked with the service centers, checked fuel and oil gauges. all fine.. Recently they replaced Clutch plate and clutch cylinder ; but nothing sorted out this problem! :-(

tacke it back to the service centre and make them fix it.
Can you actualy get the gearstick into a gear position with the clutch in? or does it not go at all?
Does the engine temperature guage show overheating? or do you just think it feels too hot? maybe thermostat is dodgy.

The gear stick does get into a gear position when the clutch is pressed..
engine temperatures are shown normal in the reading. 85~90 degrees Celsius
the engine gasket and area surrounding the engine is too hot to even stick a head and look for the issue. full of hot air. It never was like this until first 5000 kms
thermostat or is there any radiator sensor thats isnt working?
