[SOLVED] I’m stuck between the Ryzen 5 3600 and the Ryzen 5 1600af

this is my first build its more on the budget side I’m stuck between the ryzen 3600 and the Ryzen 1600af I can get the 3600 for 172$us or I can get the 1600af for 110$us
Can’t decide
For gaming I mainly play
Rocket league Fortnite Apex legends Call of duty warzone all on 1080p low settings
I like high FPS don’t care for graphics

Here’s my specs
Motherboard ASRock b450m pro4
Ram 2x8 3200mhz Ripjaws v
Gpu Rx580 4gb
Ssd 500gb 850 evo
Case Coolermaster MB311L

1600af is a good budget option and can handle the 580 with ease but if you want higher minimum fps or considering a gpu upgrade in future then definitely go the 3600.

Just make sure the motherboard's bios is updated to be compatible before installing the 3600.

Asrock usually has a sticker on the bios chip saying what version it is. Or on the box.

Can I overclock the 3600 with the b450m pro4?

Yeah but you probably won't need to. Just have decent cooling for it and nice case air flow and the chip will do the rest.
