I accidentally dropped my i7-4770K about 2 feet or 60cm. I really can't see any of the CPU pins so I am quite worried that I killed it.
Somebody mentioned that it was possible to fix the bent pins but my hands shake a lot, a least when it comes tinny things.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if I my CPU is dead??

Solution
The LGA platform has the pins in the socket, the processors have "landings" on them.
There shouldnt be too much of an issue if you dont see any physical damage.

That's good to know.
Thanks for the information.

The way you find out if your CPU is dead is plug it into a computer and turn it on. Does it work OK? It's not dead. Does it not work? It's dead. You can't just look at it and tell unless you can clearly see damage like burn marks or broken pins.
