accidentally uninstalled my display driver. How do I find out what kind it was so that I can re-install it?

Is it a storebought/e-tailer bought computer or homebuilt? If the former, what sort of computer is it?

It's store bought desktop. I got from a friend for cheap. It's an iBuy Power. I know the driver was AMD, but I don't remember the model number.

Do you know the model of the desktop? Or does it say something like AMD A-series or E-series on the front as a sticker?

Can't you go to AMD.com and use a driver detective to det6ermine the driver you need to install. I know Nvidia has one.

You could try looking in Device Manager under display adapters and see what it tells you have.
Start>Control Panel>Device Manager>Display adapters
You could also download something like Speccy (free download from piriform) and it should tell you the type of display adapter you have. You would find that under Graphics in Speccy.

There is a small software from Piriform called SPECCY, install it, and browse through it, get the name of your display and look for driver in google.

Go to windows update and search for the driver.
If you do not prefer that method, try going to Control Panel > Device Manager > Display Adapters > Right Click on yours > Properties > Details > Set property to Hardware IDs, use the first code to search on Internet.
