I accidently mopped over my pc wires under my desk especially my braided mouse cable! What to do? I just used Dettol disinfectant liquid and warm water. I wondered if Dettol is corrosive to my pc wires. Also can the wires hold up to the Dettol liquid

Note that I waited an entire day for the wires to dry.

Solution
when you say wires, what exactly do you mean? most wires are insulated with a plastic/rubber compound and if that is what got wet you are fine and dandy, the casing is made for an occasional cleaning.
if the end contacts got wet, there may be some metal reactions/discolorations. As long as the end is dry before you use it again I'd say your good.

Solution
Yeah if dettol melted ( or even just reacted to) plastic we would have major problems.
As R_1 already said, cables have no problems with getting wet as long as the plugs stay dry and I would add as long as the insulation is undamaged, you can wipe them down even while the computer is working as long as you are careful not to rip them out.

my mouse wire is a nylon braided cable and the rest of the pc cables are rubber/plastic. also would the dettol corrode and damage the nylon braided cable for my mouse and the other pc cables.

I would carefully wipe each of the cables with water in the area that got touched with dettol to remove all traces of dettol. For the nylon cord, it's just like washing clothes in dettol--might discolor it, but that's all. Again, I would use water to try to get as much dettol off that spot. And do this after the cables are disconnected and moved to a location where you can work on them more easily. And also wait for them to thoroughly dry before plugging them back in.

And with all this being said, if you do nothing you'll still probably be fine. I don't think dettol will react with the cables.
