*IF* all you did was write over your MBR, yes, all the data is still there and recoverable with the proper programs and skill. Do NOT reformat the drive. This is very much an at your own risk project. If the data is that important to you, you may want to hire a data recovery expert. That being said, this is one of the easiest cases a data recovery company would get, and it is very much DIY'able... But at your own risk because it could of course get screwed up! There are many programs that attempt to rebuild a MBR, or recover files from a drive with a deleted MBR. Of course, since you aren't reformatting, you'll need to run this on a different drive with a different install, and have your recovery drive in there as an additional.
