I already have the amd fx-9590 how much cooling is needed?

Solution
AMD recommends that chip to be watercooled. I'd say something like a Corsair H100i or something similar.

Also, please keep in mind their are only a few motherboards out there that support that chip since the FX 9370 and 9590 are both 225w TDP chips. Its doubtful most air cooling solutions will be able to keep the 9590 from throttling due to heat.

Some folks have reported success with the Noctua DH-14 and the Phanteks PH-TC14PE but these are large heatsinks, so you have to make sure your case will fit them and you have adequate airflow. I'd also reccomend an extra fan blowing over the motherboards VRM's if possible, especially if using watercooling to avoid any future throttling issues.

Best of luck to you! lets us know how the chip...
