I am a little concerned with my SLI performance.Doesnt seem as good as it should.

My system doesnt seem to be scoring as well as some others I have seen.I notice some single 690 users and SLI 670s scoring much better. My results so far:
3dMark 11-Extreme-X6574
3dMark 11-Performance-P12839
Heaven-85.5 fps and a score of 2160--
The above were with 680s SLI

compared to this simular system----
MVF mobo\ Intel i7 3770K \ Corsair H100i \ Asus GTX670 2xSLI \ 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum\ Samsung 840 Pro 256GBSSD R0 2x \ Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120GBSSD \ WD Blk 2TB R1 HDD 2x \ Corsair AX1200i PSU \ Corsair 650D

THAT GOT---Heaven --119 fps and a score of 3980

My Specs:
Maximus V Formula
Intel 3770k@4.6Gghz
8gig Gskill sniper 1866
EVGA GTX 680 X 2 SLI
XFX 850 Black edition PSU
Veloci Raptor II 150
Noctua NH D-14
HAF X Case

I intend to add a XSPC water cooling kit to this system but dont want to spend close to a half grand doing so untill I find out whats holding me back.Im thinking it may be the MVF simply because I had somewhat better(smoother performance in my old lynnfield 8700 system
I just added SLI so that was based on a single 680 in each rig.

Storage is the only major difference I can see between them - the most gutless of SSDs beats any HDD in everything but sequential writes. And those SSDs in RAID 0 will be getting about 1GB/s read/write.

His RAM might be somewhat faster than yours, but anything over 1600 should be more than fast enough.

Not sure what you mean by MVF - unless it's Maximus V Formula, at which point you have the same thing.

Yes, MVF is short for the maximus V Formula.
I wouldnt think adding a SSD would affect these type of benchmarks since I have enough ram.Im planning on adding a SSD but am waiting for the ROG RADR to be released.
I just dont think Im getting the performance I should since a pair of 670s is making my 680s look like 660s

If you are playing at stock, and his is OC'ed, then you will get a lower score. It is as simple as that.

An SSD will have no impact on 3dmark11. It does nothing that tests storage speeds.
