Compatible, yes.

Good buy, not so much. Personally Id take a Ryzen 1600 over any i5. Games are starting to utilise more than 4 threads and the 1600 just offers a much better long term opportunity in my view. I agree the 7600k is a great cpu but when compared to a Ryzen setup I just see no reason to pick the i5. We already know the next gen i5's will at least have some 6 core variants so Intel are aware of this.

Going for a Ryzen 1600 costs about the same but offers you better performance in the long run.
Also your PSU is pretty much mediocre at best.

The change to the case I fully endorse - the 100R is more than good enough for most cases - sorry.

Eeeh, I reckon $40 is pretty significant.
The power supply is a very high quality unit which can drive a 1070 or even a 1080 no problem.
450w is way more than needed for a 1060 system that'll only draw something like 250w under load.

the PSU change is alright
Seasonic uses better caps, but is group regulated. it's a tie imo.

as for the case however, doesn't the 100r come with only 1 fan? or am I mixing things up?
1 case fan is not enough imo, and adding another fan I can go for another case all thogether...
