I'd like to spent anywhere between $6-12k for a new rig (including displays).

It's been 10 years since I built anything. Recently I've somewhat caught up on: 4k vs 1080p displays (tv vs. monitor issues), high-end graphic cards, xeon vs. i-7, etc etc - all the new stuff in the last decade.

My expected use would be for real-time video of satellite imagery. And eventually steaming it back out (with added value from datasets and 3d).

Kindly correct me where I'm misinformed, but far I've only decided on the following "must" or necessary components for a build:

1) processor: Xeons with a mobo that would allow for adding (many!) more processors in future
2) graphics: nVida Quadro(s) - or combining a 1080 with quadro which i saw someone doing
3) displays: at least 4 (one being 65 inch 4k), the others "27-"32 rotated portrait

I acknowledge that eventually I need to built several different systems to accomplish all of the tasks I want at their best performance, but right now:
I'm exhausted with the hundreds or so different builds that are possible, and
Just trying to get some direction on narrowing things down and ordering.

Alternately, If anyone could kindly suggest a reliable & quick build, perhaps lower cost,
that gets me started in the right direction, with the intent of build the monster in a year or so,
that might relieve the migraines I have now.

PS.
Although I've never gamed before (mainly because I am an addict,
and anything that provides pleasure or relief from my workaholic life is ON!),
I believe that some of the same extreme capabilities of gaming systems would be needed for my uses,
but not necessary for the rendering (eg. workstation applications) and redistribution (server applications). THANKS
