Whenever I plug in my power supply. it works but then immediately turns off. I first thought maybe it was the Power supply (Corsair Builder CX500) but it worked when I did the paper clip trick and whenever I take out the cpu it works.
it doesn't work whenever I have the cpu in. I don't know if this is a cpu problem, motherboard or power supply.
It seems to do fine, whenever I test it using the paper clip/taking the cpu out. (CPU is a intel core i5 4590).
and motherboard is a MSI H81-p33
update
Okay I may need to be more clear here.
only have power supply and motherboard installed in the case along with the gpu. I do not have any ram installed yet.
So with the power supply all plugged in and the cpu in place and the gpu in place if I turn the unit on the fans cycle for a few seconds then turn off. if I remove the gpu the same result. if I remove the cpu then the power supply fan runs fine and if the gpu installed the fans run on it as well as long as the cpu is not installed. if I install the cpu and lock it down the it shuts down. any ideas??
Thanks
