[SOLVED] I am having issues with either my GPU or PSU!!!

I currently have a gtx 970 and a seasonic 520W psu(non modular). A few minutes after starting any game my display goes blank and shows message please connect to a output source but the PC fans and the lights on the peripherals are still on. If I switch of the mains and start the PC again I get the message "please power down and connect the PCIe power cable(s) for this graphics card". I switch off the mains and leave the system alone for a few hours, the pc turns on again but crashes on loading of any game. Have any of you faced any similar problems??

I would start with suspecting the PSU and I would run HWinfo to make sure my main voltages +12, +5 and + 3.3V remained within 5% of those values at idle and under load.

If they stay within 5% both at idle and under load I would suspect the GPU.
