i am having problems with my apu

i have a gtx 960 and my processor is a amd 6600k should i turn my apu off?

I wouldn't bother. It's not going to hurt anything. Hypothetically speaking, four years down the line, when your GTX960 fails, are you going to remember that you turned off the on-board graphics or are you going to spend hours/days wondering why it doesn't work?
