I am in a loop of booting into BIOS

I have just recently purchase a prebuilt PC from CyberPowerPC. The motherboard I have is an ASUS Prime Z370-P. When I purchased the system I didn't purchase an OS along with it. My plan was to take my current 250 gb Samsung SSD that already has windows installed on it, install it and boot from that. Whenever I boot from the SSD i keep getting sent back into BIOS no matter what settings I change. I really don't know how to describe my problem more in depth. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try forcing boot UEFI from BIOS in boot tab.
Do you have windows installed on that SSD?

I do have windows installed on the SSD. I just put it back into my old PC and its working completely normally. Before I go through taking it out of this PC again and trying your suggestion would you mind going a little more in depth with the answer so I can understand better?

Go to bios and go to boot tab. Select boot from ssd.
You might have to format the ssd and reinstall windows.

I've force booted from SSD like you are suggesting. If i were to format would I have to have a usb with windows on it to reinstall it?

Yes its much faster than a dvd drive.
