Hello everyone. I hope this has not been asked, as I was un able to fin someone having asked it, but I am wondering what the best RAM for me to get would be. I am wanting the RAM to go with a 12600k. The GPU it will be pairing with is a 3060ti for now, but I plan to upgrade that to a 4090 down the road. The motherboard is a Z690 Steel Legend. However, if you where to suggest a DDR5 board for sub $200 that is just as good as that board as well as DDR5 RAM in my price range that is worth the change, I am willing to change boards (as I have not actually gotten that one yet). My budget for the RAM is $230 and I am pretty adamant on having 2 32gig sticks.

Thank you very much for taking your time to read this! Any suggestions you can give me on this are welcome!

Not sure you can find two 32 gb sticks of DDR 5 for 230 dollars. I assume you have a good reason for 64 total rather than 32.

Sounds like you have not yet bought the motherboard. Have you already bought the CPU?
I am 100% fine with DDR4. If it would be worth the jump to DDR5 I am willing to pay $500 total for the motherboard and RAM. As for the CPU, I have not ordered it yet. But that is the one I have decided on. Unless you can sell me on something else. I should also add the build is for gaming/streaming.

EDIT: I also wanted to add. As for the 64, I have 32 right now and it is simply not enough for all the mods I run on some stuff.

Given that you haven't yet purchased CPU or motherboard or RAM or maybe even power supply, case, etc, I'd probably start a new thread in "systems", stating your TOTAL budget, location, vendor of choice, etc............rather than concentrate on RAM first.
