Curently i have an amd fx 6350, 8gb of ram and a r9 270x. My question is will it be a bottleneck if i get a gtx 980ti or 980 or should i just stick with a 970?

Solution
With some high CPU-intensive games there will be a bottleneck if compared to superior performing CPU's. It will not be very much though. GPU-intensive games will perform very well with that CPU/GPU combination.
A GTX 970 will perform best with it though, it would be the best match in my opinion. It also depends on what resolution you are gaming on, if you're gaming at 1080p or lower getting anything higher than a GTX 970 is pointless, they will perform almost the same.
The FX 6350 will without a doubt stunt a 980's performance.

I'm currently using an FX 6350 with my R9 290, which is more or less equivalent to a 970, without issue. So, if you don't have the money to upgrade your CPU and your GPU, I'd recommend sticking with the 6350 and buying a 970. I'd be surprised if you ran into any bottlenecks.

Definitely a 970 then. You should be able to max out the majority of games at 1080p
