I'm new to the group. I'm thinking about building a mid-range gaming desktop and need help. I have some computer knowledge but never built a pc before. My pc now is a 10+ year old Cyberpowerpc. I don't really play any games but did years ago mainly Call of Duty which I will probably get this time. Anyway, my budget is around 1200-1400. I only need the desktop. I want to reuse my two 27" LG monitors and transfer the 1TB SATA SSD running Windows 10. I also want a full size ATX MB. I have been to pcpartspicker but I don't really know which components to select.

What do you think of this? Its probably overkill for my needs but hopefully will last a while and will be easily upgradeable.

Looks like you did well on picking your parts. The biggest problem I see is you wanting to reuse your current Windows installation. You should avoid reusing a windows installation when changing motherboards. You can experience significant performance issues. Plan on formatting your SSD and reinstalling Windows.

Thanks. On Windows, are you saying its ok to use Win 10 as long as I reinstall it?
