I am planning to build a new PC and I need an advise to which product should I go for, if I'm planning for moderate gaming and design workstation
My planned specs as per my budget
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel I5 9400f
Memory - 16 GB - I have no clue regarding the frequency and all as I'm very new to this, suggest me a good RAM within 100 to 120 usd, best for Ryzen 5 and Intel I5 separately.
Graphic card - In India an Asus GTX 1660 Tuf Gaming OC 6GB and Asus RX 580 Dual OC 8GB costs the same about 226usd, so which one should I go with?

If the Ryzen 5 2600 is available, and not vastly more expensive, go with that. Ram you want 3000 or 3200 speed. Gskill Ripjaws, Corsair LPX, to name a couple. It really depends on availability. The i5 9400f, 2666 ram is the max, unless you buy a more expensive z370/z390 board. The 1660 is a better choice, for GPU. I would chose ryzen for better multitasking ability, and better modern game support. The i5 9400f can have frametime variance issues, that the Ryzen 5, 6 core models, do not experience, due to the Ryzen's SMT.

Take the 1600 up a notch to 2600
Use 3000+ (3200 is a good ideal) for a ryzen build, intel is less picky about the ram, but 3200 is good for either
580 offers more vram, but is usually cheaper, if they are same price, 1660 better option. If you can find a 580 for $120-$140 or less go with that

Also seems @logainofhades who posted same time as me said exact same thing, so thats 2 nil
