What is the difference between kernal and Api?how they work together?

API is "application programming interface" It is a documented way to interface custom software with an OS, commercial or open source software. Think of it as a software developers user's guide for some other software. The Kernel is the most basic level of the operating system.

There is no direct correlation between an API and the Kernel.
