Question I am upgrading a prebulit and need a gpu, any suggestions? $250 BUDGET, 400W PSU

The PSU is a FSP400-40AGPAA, It's 400w.
I have
7 1700
I used to have a RX 560, but it died now I have a GT 710
1x1 16 GB Samsung ram
1tb Seagate HDD
Just give me a recommendation, I want to try out half life alyx or other vr games

A GTX 1060 or an RX 580 is basically the absolute minimum it's worth it to try VR (and it's the minimum for Half Life Alyx). Unfortunately, due to the GPU shortage, things are very expensive at the moment.

If it has the PCIE connectors, it will. If it doesn't, adapters are an extremely bad idea. Though I'm not sure if you used this exact one; the original prebuilt has a legitimate FSP PSU in there and this link looks like it's a cheaply made knockoff of it.

If it's the original FSP PSU, you should be fine. They do competent OEM PSUs and a 1660 will work on it. Warning though: nothing's inexpensive right now.
