I have a MSI 980Ti GOLDEN that has been great but i need to upgrade it. I got a i7 7700k and 16GB of ram and 800W PSU.

I would like to spend $1,000 maybe a small bit more on a GPU thats atleast 30% or better than my 980ti because its been such a long time i want to get soemthing that i can see a huge difference in FPS and resolution. I also have a 4k monitor but as you know a 980Ti is not best for 4k lol.

The only place i see cards for sale at not to crazy prices is eBay but i am ok with buying from anywhere as long as its safe. The options i have found are good brands of 1080Ti's, most are under $900. A 3060 cost more than a 1080ti but it gets less FPS on everything and def not a good card in terms of performance even though it has a new arcitechture so a 3060 is def a no go. But a 3060Ti seems better some but cost over $1,400. If i can find a 3070 at a not to crazy price i would buy it but on ebay the cheapest i found is $1,500. On amazon and Newegg they are well over $2,000-$3,000 for a 3070. I would like a 30 series card but they wont go down in price until atleast 2030-2035 and thats such a long time from now i would hate to wait that long.

Hope someone can help. I am thinking i should jsut get a 1080ti and than wait 5 or 10 years for the 3080 to be under $3,000 and get it.

Where are you located, I haven't seen prices that high and you shouldn't pay that.

Honestly you should try and keep your 980ti and just explore every avenue to get an MSRP card. If you want better fps, just lower your settings.

I scored my 3090 via the EVGA que system and actually had another chance come up, but I passed.

I have won 2 newegg shuffles for 3060s, out of maybe 12 tries.
