i am using xp system,mbd is intel desktop board and hdd is 80GB westran digital HDD.i have installed chipcet drivers in my computer after restart.my hdd is not detecting in boot options.can any one give solution ?

Go into the bios and make sure you can see it there. Do an auto detect and make sure the drive is set up as master and on the first IDE channel. If its not listed in the bios you won't access it ant time after that.
