I got rid of all the old thermal paste from cpu and gpu (although some of the tiny resistors or whatever that is around the GPU still has some cuz it was so tiny and I couldn't clean it up..hopefully this is not an issue). Anyway it's been like a week since I put the new thermal paste on my cpu and gpu and I put the heatsink metal part that goes over it so it's made contact and screwed it in but I have still not turned the laptop on because I was waiting for some parts to arrive. My question is, is this a problem? Should I have started it immediately so the heat would kind of help the thermal paste get adjusted? Because I still have easy access to the cpu and gpu I can take the screws off and clean off all the paste I put and redo it all. Thanks!
