i bought a gpu whit 2gb dedicated and in windows it only shows 1

so i have bought a nividia gt 740 2gb and in windows shows that i have only 1 how can i fix this?

Are you sure it's the 2gb version? There is a 1gb version with GDDR5 instead of GDDR3. I would download the program GPU-Z and see what it says. And install the nvidia graphics driver for the GT 740 if you haven't already, the auto detect on geforce.com website might tell you what card it is also.
