[SOLVED] I bought a HDMI 2.0 but the seller said it only can run at FHD@60Hz

So I bought an HDMI 2.0 it could run at 4K@60Hz but the seller said, "for 1920x1080 it only can run(max) at 60Hz". But, does HDMI 2.0 suppose to run 1920x1080@144Hz, please.. am i being scammed or what?

What? You bought an HDMI 2.0 cable? HDMI 2.0 is capable of 1080p 144hz, however your monitor also needs to be capable of 1080p 144hz.

I don't know, they said if you want it.. try to search HDMI with Adaptive Sync, but they said it only supports 120Hz... so what do i need to do? My monitor is capable pf 1080p144Hz but the cable...

What gpu and what monitor? I have seen it come up on the forums where a 144Hz monitor has not supported 144Hz via HDMI. Do the monitors on instructions confirm 144Hz is supported via HDMI.

with MSI Optix MAG241C, it supports 144Hz at full hd

The hdmi port on that monitor does support 1080p@144hz.
