[SOLVED] I bought a new hard drive but I dropped it. It still works but...

I bought a new hard drive but it fell on the floor with a decently loud thud. It still works somehow but do you think I reduced it's lifespan by a sizeable degree and should get it replaced?

HDDs are most vulnerable when running, When off they can take up to 90Gs or more. It should be fine.

Oh so you mean a fresh, blank hard drive can withstand forces up to 90g? That's certainly something

As with ANY storage device, prepare for it to die completely in the next 0.25 sec.
Never ever trust your data to one single device.
