i bought a new hard drive to put things on like pagefile to reduce wear and tear, but...

ok i am using windows vista 64 bit

for the pagefile when i turned it off it still had 8gb allocated? now i set it to 20gb and it says 28gb. is it still paging the c drive? if so how do i stop this?

and any tips on what else i should move to my new drive to lessen stress on the c drive.

How exactly are the options set for this? C should be shown as off, and the second drive is where you set the options.
