I bought a Pci e 3.0 Graphics card with a PCI e 2.0 MOBO?

I bought the r9 270x which use PCI e 3.0 but the MOBO i bought (ASUS M5A97 R2.0) only has PCI e 2.0. Will this decrease performance or have any other issues?
