Question I bought a used mining GPU with no seal screw ?

hi guys
last night i bought a used rx6700 xt gpu xfx 309. im using used gpu s for some years and never had a problem.
this one is good too in aspect of performance (so-so)
but i neglected and it doesnt have seal screw and the fan has a noise like a f. wolf.
can i rely on it for 1-2 year? or it doesnt last much?
i play games at 1440p and high/ultra-(far cry6-fifa23-cyber20777) ,...
plz help

there could be replacement fans for 6700xt on ebay or some place ..

Im going to sound like a arse here but this is the risk you take buying 2nd hand and 100% you could do it for years and years no issues and then this happens ..

sometimes the wins you get come with losses that could have been avoided by just buying new and having that come back if this happens !!

actually after a quick google search ali express has replacement fan for a 6700xt xfx gpu $22 aud $13aud shipping what that translates to your currency and location not sure but they are there ..

Ive found things ive bought from there using pay pal have arrived as described and quite quick .. and pay pal offer a refund if you dont get the item as described !!

This is risk off buying used gpu you ether get mined or faulty or working but with mined used gpu you never know when it’s going to break. Before buying ask seller for pictures and the condition.

If the person who used it for mining really cares about the health of their GPUs, then they will regularly take their cards apart and replace the thermal paste and pads. If the seal was still in place, I would question the health of the card.

It should. I've got a GTX 1070 which was used for mining, I bought it 4 years ago and it's still working fine in a PC my kids use. Earlier this year I bought an RTX 3070 which was also a used mining card and it was fine (I've since sold it and upgraded), I've had good luck with mining cards, but there is always a risk with any used electronics.
